...is a Midwest-based theatre artist and educator. Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, he received a BFA in musical theatre from Indiana University Bloomington. Following graduation, he relocated to Chicago where he performed at such theatres as the Paramount, Chicago Shakespeare, Drury Lane Oakbrook, Theatre at the Center, Porchlight, Music Theatre Works, and Northbook Theatre for Young Audiences. Regional credits include work at the Adirondack Theatre Festival, Fireside, Palace in the Dells, Cardinal Stage Company, Bloomington Playwrights Project, Indiana Festival Theatre, and the Round Barn in Nappanee. Nathan is also a director and choreographer, recently helming Disney's Newsies for South Bend Civic Theatre and Calling All Kates at Prima Theatre. He currently serves as the choral director and theatre arts instructor at James Whitcomb Riley High School in South Bend while pursuing his MA in Secondary Education from Ball State University. Nathan is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
West Side Story
Nathan will make his return to the stage as Riff in South Bend Civic Theatre's West Side Story. Produced in collaboration with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, West Side Story will be performed at the Morris Performing Arts Center on Saturday, October 8th (7:30 PM) and Sunday, October 9th (2 PM). 12 Angry Jurors
Following West Side Story, Nathan will direct Twelve Angry Jurors for the Riley High School Drama Club. This riveting drama based on the 1954 award-winning teleplay will be performed in the RHS Auditorium on Friday, November 18th (7 PM) and Saturday, November 19th (7 PM). Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5 (SBCSC students/staff) or $8 (public). Seating is general admission.
