...is an Indiana-based actor, director, choreographer, educator, and musician. Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, he received a BFA in musical theatre from Indiana University. After graduation, he relocated to Chicago where he worked with the Paramount Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Drury Lane Oakbrook Theatre, Theatre at the Center, Porchlight Music Theatre, Music Theatre Works, and Northbook Theatre for Young Audiences. Regionally, he has appeared at the Adirondack Theatre Festival, Fireside Theatre, Palace Theater in the Dells, Cardinal Stage Company, Bloomington Playwrights Project, Indiana Festival Theatre, and the Round Barn Theatre. Nathan is also a director and choreographer, recently helming Calling All Kates at Prima Theatre, Disney's The Little Mermaid at the Round Barn Theatre, and choreographing/assistant directing The Nance for Pride Films & Plays. When not rehearsing or performing, he can be found eating chicken pad thai (no bean sprouts), sipping on an iced coffee from Starbucks, or developing his drag persona: Leryn Gytus. Nathan is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographer Society.

Back to school!

Nathan has enrolled at Ball State University (chirp! chirp!) where he is pursing a Master of Arts in Secondary Education with a license to teach theatre arts at the middle/high school level. He has also started developing his teaching portfolio which can be viewed on the "teacher" tab above. The SpongeBob Musical

This spring, Nathan will return to South Bend Civic Theatre and choreograph their youth production of Nickelodeon's The SpongeBob Musical. Running from June 18th to the 27th, all performances will be held outside at Mishawaka's Central Park due to COVID restrictions. CLICK HERE for tickets and more information.


SBCT Summer Camps

Following The SpongeBob Musical, Nathan will continue his work with South Bend Civic Theatre as a teaching artist for their 2021 theatre summer camp. Beginning June 14th, Nathan will lead or assist such classes as "Acting Skills" and "Triple Threat Broadway Bootcamp." For more information on this summer's classes and schedule, CLICK HERE.


IU Midsummer Theatre Intensive

Nathan will also return to his position as musical theatre dance instructor for IU's Midsummer Theatre Intensive. Beginning July 5th, this two-week virtual high school intensive will engage students in daily acting, dance, and vocal classes and culminate in a virtual showcase for family and friends.
