about nathan...

Nathan Mittleman is a Chicago-based actor, director, choreographer, educator, and musician. Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, he received a BFA in musical theatre from Indiana University. Since moving to the Windy City, he has worked with the Paramount Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Drury Lane Theatre, Theatre at the Center, Porchlight Music Theatre, Music Theatre Works, and Northbrook Theatre for Young Audiences. Regionally, he has appeared at the Adirondack Theatre Festival, Fireside Theatre, Palace Theater in the Dells, Cardinal Stage Company, Bloomington Playwrights Project, Indiana Festival Theatre, and the Round Barn Theatre. Nathan is also a director and choreographer, recently choreographing Calling All Kates at the Adirondack Theatre Festival, helming Disney's The Little Mermaid at The Round Barn Theatre, and choreographing/assistant directing The Nance for Pride Films & Plays.  When not rehearsing or performing, he can be found eating chicken pad thai (no bean sprouts), sipping on an iced coffee from Starbucks, or rewatching episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race. Nathan is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.

Calling All Kates

Following Mary Poppins, Nathan will head out to Lancaster, Pennsylvania to direct and choreograph Calling All Kates at Prima Theatre.
