...is a Midwest-based theatre artist and educator. Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, he received a BFA in musical theatre from Indiana University Bloomington. Following graduation, he relocated to Chicago where he performed at such theatres as the Paramount, Chicago Shakespeare, Drury Lane Oakbrook, Theatre at the Center, Porchlight, Music Theatre Works, and Northbook Theatre for Young Audiences. Regional credits include work at the Adirondack Theatre Festival, Fireside, Palace in the Dells, Cardinal Stage Company, Bloomington Playwrights Project, Indiana Festival Theatre, and the Round Barn in Nappanee. Nathan is also a director and choreographer, recently helming Disney's Newsies for South Bend Civic Theatre and Calling All Kates at Prima Theatre. He currently serves as the choral director and theatre arts instructor at James Whitcomb Riley High School in South Bend while pursuing his MA in Secondary Education from Ball State University. Nathan is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
Once Upon a Mattress
Off the heels of the successful 2022- 2023 season opener, Twelve Angry Jurors, Nathan will direct and choreograph Once Upon a Mattress for the Riley High School Drama Club. This whimsical musical comedy will be performed in the RHS Auditorium for two nights only: Thursday, March 9th at 7 PM and Friday, March 10th at 7 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5 (SBCSC students/staff) or $8 (public). Seating is general admission.
The Rainbow Fish
Nathan will direct The Rainbow Fish this spring, closing out the 2022-2023 Riley High School Drama Club season. Based on the international bestseller and award-winning children's book by Marcus Pfister, The Rainbow Fish will be performed in the RHS Auditorium on Friday, May 12th at 7 PM and Saturday, May 13th at 2 PM. Tickets are $5 for both SBCSC students/staff and the public, and can be purchased at the door. Seating is general admission.
