Nathan Mittleman is a Chicago-based performer, director, choreographer, educator, and musician. Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, he received a BFA in musical theatre from Indiana University. Since moving to the Windy City, he has worked with the Paramount Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Theatre at the Center, Porchlight Music Theatre, Music Theatre Works, and Northbrook Theatre for Young Audiences. Regionally, he has appeared at the Adirondack Theatre Festival, Fireside Theatre, Palace Theater in the Dells, Cardinal Stage Company, Bloomington Playwrights Project, Indiana Festival Theatre, and the Round Barn Theatre. Nathan is also a director and choreographer, recently choreographing Calling All Kates at the Adirondack Theatre Festival, helming Disney's The Little Mermaid at The Round Barn Theatre, and choreographing/assistant directing The Nance for Pride Films & Plays.  When not rehearsing or performing, he can be found eating chicken pad thai (no bean sprouts), sipping on an iced coffee from Starbucks, or rewatching episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race. Nathan is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.

Disney's Mary Poppins

This fall, Nathan will make his Drury Lane Oakbrook debut in Disney's Mary Poppins. He will play the dubious businessman Von Hussler, appear in the ensemble, and cover the role of the Park Keeper. Directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, Disney's Mary Poppins will open on November 15th, 2019 and close on January 19th, 2020. CLICK HERE for tickets and more information.
